Erg Lihoudi - M'Hammidl'Gizlane - Chegaga Camp
This morning after waking up camels will be waiting to transport you across the the desert to the oasis of the Sacred Heart. You will experience being in a desert caravan of camels similar to those of ancient times.
The journey to Erg Chigaga will require a change of transport where camels will be exchanged for a 4 by 4 vehicle. The Erg Chegaga is one of the two major Saharan ergs (dune sea) in Morocco, with more than 40 kilometers of desert and it’s where we’ll find dunes of 300 metres height in this authentic wilderness.
(We leave thoughts and light luggage Back on the camels again, your body will adjust to the movement of the animal as you gather pace and become more confident. It’s time to relax andand enjoy the sound of the camel’s feet crunching on the desert sand.
The destination will be the bivouac of Erg Chegaga just before sunset.
At night, sound of the tam tams (bongos) will accompany your singing as you direct your gaze towards the night sky as you heart fills with joy and peace..
This will be your final night in the desert but one you will cherish and remember for a long time.
